The Tanasi Gallery is located in the Town of Unicoi Visitor Center. It is on the east side of Interstate 26 at Unicoi Road, Exit 32 just south of Johnson City, Tennessee. The town sits at the edge of Pinnacle Mountain overlooking the Cherokee National Forest.

It is just a short 10 minute trip from Johnson City, home to East Tennessee State University, and only 25 minutes away from the Tri-Cities Regional Airport. ​
