Synopsis

A young German boy named Matthias is torn between two worlds as his father leaves home to join the Nazi police and his mother is entangled in an underground effort to protect Jewish refugees. Matthias and his sister Katherine are forced to flee their home and take up residence at a nearby fort, where they meet the kindhearted caretaker, Gerald, and stumble upon an ancient legend about a ghostly lady in a white dress who roams  the countryside seeking penance for the evil deeds she committed while still alive. As World War II rages on in the backdrop, Matthias must unravel the mystery surrounding the Lady and home that he and his family can make it out alive.
