I am a nature photographer, with most of my work focused in Appalachia. I have been fortunate enough to live in East Tennessee since 1989, after relocating here in 1989. Although I always enjoyed spending time outside, the Appalachian Mountains have become special to me since I moved here. I am continually amazed that with a camera in my hand I become so much more aware of the beauty and wonder of god’s creation.
I started taking photography “seriously” in 2005 when I realized I had a desire to share my love of nature with others. I have a special interest in wildflower and those wonderful “point of view” nature perspectives that I find in surprising places. I enjoy capturing the images I see with my camera and using them to create my photos and gift items. In addition to framed and matter photographic prints, I make note cards, bookmarks, and magnets. All of my photos are taken with a digital camera & and all of the items I sell are printed, produced, and packaged by me. I am a member of the Appalachian Arts & Crafts Center in Clinton, TN & the Tanasi Gallery in Unicoi, TN. I have presented in the Mountain Makins Festival in Morristown, the Lavender Festival in Oak Ridge, Apple Festival in Erwin. |
