Kathrine has experience many art forms including latch hooking, sewing, and ceramics. She finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains and its waterways. From these rivers she often finds the colorful stones that she transforms into art. This was eventually lead her to create the River Edge jewelry collection.
